The barracks in the city of Ede will become the property of the local authority of Ede on 01 January 2011.  For this reason the Museum Verbindingsdienst will have to move to another location by the end of 2010.  It is expected that this will be in the Bernhard barracks in Amersfoort. 

The dismantling, packing up and moving preparations of the extensive collection and everything belonging to it (the depot, library, archives, props, workshops etc.) will be carried out by a small group of volunteers.  As the above-mentioned activities will take a considerable amount of time, the Museum Verbindingsdienst will be closed to visitors as from 01 June 2009. 

The museum remains available via e-mail and/or telephone for requests for information and for the acceptance of donations.  The public will be kept up-to-date on all the latest developments via our website.
